Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B), inaugurated the event by emphasizing its transformative impact on the filmmaking ecosystem. With over 1,500 registrations and representation from more than 10 country-specific pavilions, Film Bazaar has cemented itself as a cornerstone for fostering creativity and enabling productive interactions within the industry.
“This is an exceptional platform to nurture future filmmakers. From presenting ideas to securing deals, Film Bazaar fosters productive interactions across all levels of the industry,” said Jaju. He also highlighted the Creative Minds Of Tomorrow (CMOT) initiative, which has expanded this year to welcome 100 promising talents, underscoring IFFI’s commitment to nurturing young cinematic visionaries.

Renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, serving as the Festival Director of the 55th IFFI, brought his enthusiasm to the event, describing Film Bazaar as a dynamic space for emerging filmmakers to showcase their creative energy.

- Co-Production Market: Joint Secretary (Films) Vrunda Manohar Desai unveiled the Co-Production Market, featuring 21 feature films and 8 web series from seven countries. This initiative serves as a hub for filmmakers seeking international partnerships, spotlighting diverse narratives from around the world.
- Viewing Room: A key resource for filmmakers aiming to secure distribution and funding, the Viewing Room will showcase 208 films this year, spanning feature-length, mid-length, and short formats.
