With its roots in the Tamil film G.O.A.T. (UA), Thalapathy Is The G.O.A.T. is an action-family drama produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram and AGS Entertainment (P.) Ltd

Sunil (Prashanth), Kalyan (Prabhudeva), and Ajay (Ajmal Ameer) are members of the Special Anti-Terrorism Squad (SATS) in Kenya, where Gandhi (Vijay) is employed. While on the run from treason charges in 2008, they capture their previous boss, Menon (Mohan). Prior to detonating the bomb, they recover the stolen uranium from Menon, who is accompanied by his family on a train. The group has gone incognito in Delhi since they think he has died. Gandhi resides with his spouse, Anu, played by Sneha Prasanna, and their kid, Jeevan, aged five, played by Akhil. Their second kid is on the way, and Anu is pregnant.

While on a mission, Gandhi brings his family to Bangkok. However, their boy is killed in an attack, and Anu gives birth to a girl. When Gandhi finds a burned body, he presumes his Son Jeevan is dead. It has devastated Gandhi. Since Anu still hasn’t forgiven Gandhi, the two had been living apart in Madras for a long time. Abyuktha Manikandan plays Jeevitha, Anu’s daughter, who lives with Anu but also has a soft spot for her dad. In 2024, Gandhi receives an invitation from his former boss Naseer (Jayaram) to serve as a trainer in the newly reopened Indian Embassy in Moscow. When Gandhi finally sees Jeevan after 16 long years, he is surprised. Anu pardons her husband Gandhi when he and his son Jeevan return to Madras. A man whose identity remains a mystery murders Naseer shortly after.

At the same time, Jeevan’s backstory is unveiled. After rescuing Jeevan from the wreckage of the train, Menon, who had managed to escape unharmed, christened him Sanjay and raised him as his own son. Because of Menon’s manipulations and intrigues, Jeevan/Sanjay hates Gandhi so intensely that he plans to destroy or kill his biological father, Gandhi. Menon personally visits Madras.

The news that Gandhi’s son, Jeevan/Sanjay, wants his blood surprised Gandhi. Subsequent shocks occur. In the end, what transpires?

Fans of masala stories would adore Venkat Prabhu’s work because of all the unexpected turns it takes. Fans are sure to go wild about Vijay’s casting as both Gandhi and Jeevan/Sanjay. Venkat Prabhu, Ezhilarasu Gunasekaran, K. Chandru, and Manivannan Balasubramaniyam’s screenplay moves at a breakneck pace, leaving no room for audience contemplation. Even with several inexplicable plot twists and mind-numbing action sequences, the audience is captivated by the drama and finds it enjoyable. The conclusion is great, but it takes a long time to get there. A number of nerve-wracking scenes occur. Incredible conflict scenes ensue between Gandhi and Sanjay/Jeevan once Gandhi learns that Sanjay is plotting Menon’s vengeance. Many of the dialogues spoken by Riya Mukherji, M. Prasad Babu, and Venkat Prabhu are also worthy of applause.

With his dual part, Vijay carries the film. Both as Gandhi and as Jeevan/Sanjay, he is superb. He is so charming and entertaining that he could play to an audience of anyone and make them drool. As always, his dances are just breathtaking. Sunil is brilliantly portrayed by Prashanth. In his role as Kalyan, Prabhudeva provides solid assistance. Ajay is a role that Ajmal Ameer nails. Acting as Gandhi’s former employer, Menon, Mohan is frightening. Jayaram is excellent as Naseer’s sidekick. As Anu, Sneha Prasanna looks stunning and performs with grace. When playing Srinidhi, Meenakshi Chaudhary is completely at ease. She is also stunning. As Diamond Babu, Yogi Babu provides amusing entertainment. As Seenu, Gandhi’s brother-in-law, Premgi Amaren makes a strong impression. In her role as Jeevitha Gandhi, Abyuktha Manikandan excels. Little Jeevan is no match for Akhil. Cast: Laila (Sunil’s wife), Vaibhav (Sha), Subbu Panchu (Rajendran), VTV Ganesh (Raghavan), Yugendran (Abdul), Parvati Nair (as a junior SATS officer), Aravind Akash (as Aravind), Ajay Raj (as Ajay), Kaniha (Menon’s wife), Y.G. Mahendran (as a RAW officer in a cameo appearance), Sivakarthikeyan (as himself in a cameo appearance), Komal Sharma, Anjena Kirti, Dileepan, Ganja Karuppu, T. Siva, and Irfan Zaini are all capable of providing supporting roles. Dancer Trisha Krishnan turns heads in a musical routine. Some are sufficient.

The direction is top-notch by Venkat Prabhu. People of all ages find great joy in listening to his narration. The music of Yuvan Shankar Raja is quite pleasant. The lyrics, written by Gangai Amaren, Madhan Karky, Kabilan Vairamuthu, Vivek, and Vignesh Ramakrishna, are decent. Beautiful dances and superb picturizations of the songs (Raju Sundaram, Sekhar V.J., and Sathish Krishnan). The scenes are made much more powerful by the background music, which is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Great cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni. Action and stunts performed by Dhilip Subharayan are incredibly exciting. Notable contributions include production design by Rajeevan and art direction by B. Sekar and Surya Rajeevan. Venkat Raajen has a keen eye for editing. The dubbing is excellent.

The overall financial success of Thalapathy Is The G.O.A.T. Due to its high level of entertainment value, it is sure to be a hit with the general population. Superhit status is guaranteed for the original (Tamil) version.
